Alfa GT Cloverleaf Series. Part of a great tradition.
A symbol of sporting success since 1923
Shortly before the 1923 Targa Florio, Alfa Romeo driver Udo Sivocci found a four-leafed clover by the roadside. Hoping for good luck, he persuaded his team to paint a cloverleaf symbol on his Alfa Romeo RL… and he won the race, scoring Alfa Romeo’s first major international victory. From that day on, the Cloverleaf has appeared on Alfa Romeo works racing cars in Grands Prix, road races and endurance races around the world.
Throughout the 1920s and 1930s, Alfa Romeo’s racing record was dominant, in both road races and Grands Prix, with legendary drivers like Nuvolari at the wheel. Post-war, the first-ever Grand Prix World Champion driver was Giuseppe Farina, who became World Champion in 1950 driving an Alfa 158. The next year it was the turn of Juan Manuel Fangio, his teammate. Away from the grand prix scene, the Cloverleaf has also graced some of the finest sports cars Alfa Romeo has ever made, including the magnificent Alfa 8C Competizione, a 4.7-litre supercar that is the flagship of the current range.
In motor racing, the giant-killing Alfa Giulia GTA, multiple European Touring Car Championship winner in the 1960s; the Alfa 33 TT 12, dominant in the Sports Prototype World Championship in the 1970s; and the European championship-winning Alfa 155 and 156 saloons have all carried the Cloverleaf to the chequered flag. In total, Alfa Romeo has won 11 Mille Miglia races, ten Targa Florio, four Le Mans 24 Hours, two Grand Prix world championships and three sports car world championships, as well as numerous national and European touring car championships (ETCC).
That’s a lot of lucky four-leafed clovers.

2. Power with control
With its broad spread of torque and instant response to the throttle, the range-topping Alfa GT Cloverleaf 1.9JTDM 16v Q2 is a worthy inheritor of the four-leafed clover. The 170bhp diesel engine delivers high performance, lower CO2 emissions and excellent fuel economy; its power is harnessed by the Alfa-developed Q2 limited slip differential, which offers outstanding cornering ability without the killjoy intervention of electronic traction control. This remarkable high-performance diesel accelerates from 0–62mph in 8.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 135mph. The Sport button on the central console varies the mapping of the accelerator pedal, giving you the option of “normal” mapping or a sports configuration which enhances the throttle response for a more sporting drive. Nuvolari himself would have approved…and you certainly will. |

3. Distinctive in every detail
Even as standard, the Alfa GT has the power to turn heads. In the Cloverleaf version, it positively commands attention. Every aspect of its specification has been designed to offer the ultimate in pleasure of ownership, from the black leather sports seats to the unique double five-spoke alloy wheels. Take in its sleek lines and you’ll notice the lower stance and the 18" alloy wheels on low-profile 225/40 R18 tyres, with red-painted brake calipers visible through the spokes. The heated, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors and the distinctive Alfa Romeo grille are finished in satin-effect brightwork. The 1.8TS, 2.0JTS and 1.9JTDM 16v models feature a Cloverleaf badge on the boot lid, while the 170bhp 1.9JTDM 16v Q2 is distinguished by Cloverleaf badges on the front wings. Although the badges are subtle, true enthusiasts will instantly recognise the Alfa GT Cloverleaf as a rare and highly desirable sports car in the Alfa tradition. |

4. Luxury with a sporting touch
The Alfa GT Cloverleaf is designed for comfortable, fast and pleasurable journeys. Settle into the comfortable, supportive driving seat and you’ll spot detail touches like the stainless steel kick plates, the drilled aluminium accelerator, brake and clutch pedals and the sports instrumentation with its distinctive red background. The supportive sports seats are upholstered in black leather and – another thoughtful touch – the passenger seat, like the driver seat, is height adjustable. The steering wheel is trimmed in leather and features remote audio control of the powerful Bose® sound system with its separate amplifier and subwoofer. Dual-zone automatic climate control ensures that both driver and passenger can achieve their ideal ambient temperature. Such details make a true granturismo. | ![]() |
5. Limited numbers: generous specification
The Alfa GT Cloverleaf is a limited edition, and it’s destined to become as much of a classic as the other Cloverleaf models in Alfa Romeo history. It’s offered in three exterior finishes: Carbonio Black, Alfa Red and a new Atlantico Blue metallic paint. While the standard Alfa GT is comprehensively equipped, the Cloverleaf limited edition adds valuable extras like double-spoke 18" alloy wheels and black leather upholstery at a price that represent outstanding value for money. |
